Studio
The newest addition to my studio kit was a bit of a surprise but when you see what the SL lenses can produce on this sensor, there’s no going back. The SL2-s is a versatile camera that, sure may not have the most advanced autofocus system, but delivers image quality and versatility, where it can perform extremely well in studio, street and even video.
The GFX 100s is the camera I choose to use for all my professional work. It packs some amazing features but most importantly, has a design that I find more enjoyable for photography work. I speak about this at length in my full review that you can watch here.
Street
The latest addition to the M family brings a ton of value to the work I do. Whether it’s behind-the-scenes photography for a film or casual walks exploring the city I’m in, this camera brings a ton of versatility for my style of shooting. I’m still putting some mileage on this camera so stay tuned for my full review.
The X100V is the camera I pick up most often and carry with me wherever I go. It packs a ton of great features and offers plenty of room for growth. It is the most refined version of the X100 series and will surely please pros and hobbyists. Check out my full review here.
Film
This is the workhorse cinema camera for the video work I do. This thing is tiny but mighty and works in just about any condition we throw it. More importantly, the image-quality and colour-depth are absolutely stunning. Pairing this to some vintage lenses has made for a unique combination with jaw-dropping results.
Dollar-for-dollar, this may be the most valuable camera on the list. The Canon C70 is a remarkable filmmaking tool that houses this magnificent sensor which produces gorgeous video files for professional work. With great audio inputs, built-in ND filters, high heat tolerances, plenty of customizable buttons, the Canon colour science, and more of a box-style design, it’s just a great f*cking video camera. If you’re serious about professional filmmaking, this is the first camera that I would recommend.
